As I Lay Dying Announces Tour Dates For ‘An Ocean Between Us’ Canadian Tour 2008!
Metal Blade Recording Artist, As I Lay Dying
Announces Tour Dates For 'An Ocean Between Us' Canadian Tour 2008! Fan
favorites from the Exclaim! Magazine year end reads poll and fresh off
their 08 Grammy nominee for best metal performance for 'Nothing Left',
San Diego, California's As I Lay Dying are excited to announce their
Canadian tour dates with Misery Signals, August Burns Red and label
mates Evergreen Terrace.
Guitarist
Phil Sgrosso had this to say about announcing the Canadian dates "We
are very excited to be doing a national tour in Canada this spring. We
haven't hit a lot of those markets since Taste of Chaos back in 2006.
Along with the other bands on the tour, it should be a very energetic
show every night. The last time we did a club headline tour in Canada
was in the spring of 2005 with Throw down, All That Remains, and Winter
Solstice. It's been a long time."
This will be As I Lay Dying's first time in nearly 3 years to be
playing venues less than 5,000 capacity in Canada. They had recently
been on festivals such as Sounds of the Underground, Ozzfest and Warped
Tour. "Our shows will definitely be a lot more intimate than what we
did on the more festival-style shows. Moshing, crowd surfing, stage
diving. I'm sure that will all be taking place more frequently on this
tour!"
As I Lay
Dying will have Misery Signals, who are no strangers to metal/hardcore
fans, play main support to them on all dates in Canada. Guitarist Nick
Hipa comments on 'An Ocean Between Us' tour support. "Well it seems
like we've played with every heavy band under the sun EXCEPT Misery
Signals, who are a pretty sick band, so we figured it was about time!
As for August Burns Red and Evergreen Terrace, we're all pretty much
joined at the hip."
